Pair of Carved Emerald Parrots wedgwood a ruby for passionDATE: Chinese, c. 1900 An astounding pair of carved emerald birds dating from the turn of the 20th Century, circa 1900. They weigh 167 carats in total, and quality of the carving is quite remarkable. Each bird, they look like parrots to me, is perched on an ornate podium adorned with flowers and leaves similar in style but with slightly different designs. Complete with the original fitted presentation box, they're simply a delight to behold. STONES
